I’m going to call this series – Shades of Brown. In case you haven’t heard, brown is the new black. The brown trend was huge for Fall 2020 and is still going strong.

I gotta say, there’s not been a trend in the past I have been more prepared for, than this. My closet is full of brown looks because I have loved this color for many many years and I’m certainly very excited it is getting the recognition it deserves. Here are two older posts where I’m rocking this color pallete in 2019- Here and Here

I really should do a series predicting fashion trends. I find that whenever I’m into a style or color, almost every time it becomes the big craze the next year. Take, for example, the pantone 2021 color- a grayish yellow. At the beginning of 2020 I was particularly drawn to items in that color and even bought a few items and if you know me, you know I stay as far away from color as possible. Fast forward to 2021 and that is the color of the year. let’s just say I have a good eye for spotting trends.

But I digress. Back to brown – whether or not you are a fan, there’s no denying how sophisticated and easy to wear this color is. This is a trend anyone, and I mean, anyone, can indulge in. In this post I kept it monochrome and simple. I popped a scarf under my collar to add some flair, and completed the look with a headband and shoes from Cult Gaia and Valentino.
