For the past month the weather in the DMV area has been bipolar. It is safe to say the worst of the winter days are over but we still get temperatures as low as 40°-50°F and highs that go up to 90°F. I mean, how is that even possible? So spring, to me, this year has been non existent. And for that reason I do not go out without a jacket or sweater to keep me warm just in case the weather decides to start acting up. Usually, at the first sight of warm weather, everyone is quick to pull out their favorite spring/summer outfits and tuck away those sweaters and fur jackets. Don’t be too quick to do that. The only way i’ve been able to wear some of my spring/summer outfits is by layering them, like I said, with a blazer, sweater, trench coat or even a fur jacket like this one.
For a day of running errands, I decided to throw on this cute little poplin romper, which at first glance looks like a really really short dress. But not to worry. You will not be having a Marilyn Monroe moment in this because as soon as the wind starts to blow up the skirt overlay it’s only gonna reveal the shorts underneath, which is quite short but very effective in preventing anyone from seeing your lady parts.
While on the subject of rompers has anyone seen the Kickstarter campaign “RompHim” that has basically ushered in male rompers into the fashion scene? Men, would you indulge? Ladies, would you be comfortable seeing your man in a romper? Issa no for me dawg.
